's most famous and beloved King Prithviraj Chauhan has become a legendary figure in Indian history. He was born around 1166 AD in Chauhan Rajput family of Ajayameru modern Ajmer in Rajasthan. Prithviraj conquered many kingdoms, his kingdom extended from Punjab in the north to Kathiawar in the South and from Afghanistan in the West to the Ganges river in the east.

He was a great patron of the arts and a great lover of music. He was also a great advocate of Hinduism and was an influential figure in the 12th century politics of India. Prithivi Raj was known for his bravery and was known to single handedly take on Mahmud Ghazni and his armies. He was killed in the second battle of Taraori in 1192 by Mohammed Ghori. Prithvi Raj is considered a great martyr and an Indian folk hero. He is remembered as one of India’s greatest warriors and rulers.
