George Carlin was recently interviewed on his anger level and television appearances. He explained that his routines are a mixture of emotions, but some may have been interpreted as angry due to his views on Christianity. He also admitted that he did not feel comfortable on the Letterman Show and described it as being preoccupied and in a hurry for him to leave. Lastly, he recalled a Saturday Night Live appearance from the 70's discussing religion, which was considered risque at the time, with the Cardinal even calling in before the show left the air.
